The Diagnoseklinik
Accurate joint diagnosis without claustrophobia and radiation exposure

Many patients are very scared of the oppressive tightness in a magnetic resonance imaging scanner (MRI). Scientific studies from the USA have shown that claustrophobia leads to premature termination of the study in every tenth patient. In order to provide more comfort and service for its patients, the Diagnoseklinik relies on use of an open joint MRI for diagnosis of joints This scanner, which is in use in Munich only in the Diagnoseklinik and in Germany only in a few diagnostic centres, now delivers results that are just as accurate and of the same high quality as those of a closed MRI.
International patients receiving preventive care in the Diagnoseklinik

As part of the project „Medical Tourism“, a patient who had come from China solely for the purpose of a check-up was examined in the Diagnoseklinik. Xie Hui, who once was a Chinese professional football player (played in the 2nd national league for Aachen and Greuther Fürth as well as other teams) and today is a successful manager and lives in Shanghai, had himself checked out in the Diagnoseklinik. In addition to a comprehensive prevention counselling session and a genetic check, he underwent the basic check in the Diagnosisklinik under the supervision of the expert Dr. Manfred Strässle. These checks culminated in a head to toe examination in the clinic’s modern whole-body magnetic resonance imaging scanner.
